Taco Tuesday
It’s fitting that September 1 is a Tuesday because the TACO is back. For those who don’t know TACO is an acronym for “trump Always Chickens Out.” He’s done it again; pulling the threat of 50% tariffs after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stood up to his nonsense.
Bear with me because this month’s rant will be kind of long. I want to get the personal info out of the way so I can rant on the idiocy we call ‘Merica.

Back to the rant. Now if all this wasn’t real it would be hilarious. You’ve probably heard in another tantrum trump has decided Lake Ontario is Lake America. Well guess what, the Welland Canal runs thru Lake Ontario and if they wanted to Canada could cut off midwestern container ships from Chicago, Detroit, etc., from the ocean. Yes, his “trade war” could stop another waterway, sort of a domestic Strait of Hormuz. Isn’t stupidity funny? Fortunately, Canada is run by adults who honor old treaties and the canal will remain open. Fun Fact. Lake Ontario was named by natives before the province and the province is named after the lake. Someone tell trump it wasn’t the Canadians who named it. It was Native Americans, another group he hates.
ICE is still at it. It seems rounding up immigrants is costing America jobs. ICE is raiding construction sites because, you know, the “worst of the worst” work day jobs when they’re not being dangerous gang members. Anyhow, arresting these people is costing Americans jobs because rich developers aren’t replacing them with Americans. They’re laying off people and putting projects on hold. You see much like Reagan’s trickle down BS when rich people save money they don’t share. They keep. Don’t have to pay immigrants, lay off Americans. Bank the money until Democrats return, put immigrants back to work.
Here’s the story…
For every undocumented construction worker arrested by ICE, approximately six American-born workers lose their jobs. That is not a projection. It is a finding from a May 2026 study published by the National Bureau of Economic Research, the first national analysis of how the Trump administration's enforcement surge has affected employment in the construction sector. The study found that employers do not replace deported workers with Americans. They scale back operations, delay projects, and cut staff. The result is that deportation does not transfer jobs from immigrants to citizens. It eliminates them. Nationwide, the Brookings Institution found that 668,000 jobs were lost in 2025 as a direct consequence of increased immigration enforcement, with construction and food service.
The only people making money from ICE are the private prison owners and the fat bullying ICE agents. Hopefully one day they’ll be arrested and find no one has their back.
Let’s talk fuel and money. I finally saw a “trump did that” sticker on a gas pump. Yes, he did. He’s run up gas and diesel prices. I mention diesel because another group of his cult members are hurting. Those alpha males “rolling coal”. Rolling coal is when they blow black smoke out of their pickup truck at bicyclists, runners, or anyone who reads. The kind of people bothering no one that they want to bully. The trucks run on diesel so it’s getting expensive to be a jerkoff. Diesel prices are also pushing up the delivery prices on the food we can’t eat.
Lettuce is bad, beef is bad, who knows what else is making us sick. We don’t know because DOGE cuts fired the food inspectors and eliminated standards and inspections. Can’t go off the grid because the national parks bathrooms are closed and trash is piling up. Guess those non- essential DEI hires served a purpose after all.
So, we surrendered before fighting in a trade war, deportation is costing citizens jobs, fuel costs are making life cost more and the parks are full… of garbage. See I told you if it wasn’t real, it would be funny.
Did I mention Facebook, I mean Meta, didn’t blink when fined 18 billion dollars for negatively influencing children. Paid 18 billion, which gives you an idea how much profit they must be making. Hilarious.
