  Abe Lincoln said a nation divided will fall, guess we didn’t hear him. What happened to US the USA. When did it become so evil to compromise or even civilly listen to the other side or a different opinion? The Debt ceiling was raised, who won? Nobody. We all lost. Just another level of hate, anger and now blame. Its Obama‘s fault Standard and Poors lowered credit rating! Damn him! Burn him at the Stake! We need new leadership!!!

  Anyone who’s had an error on their credit report knows how hard it is to get that straightened out.
  S & P also said the reason they lowered the rating was the republicans refusal to consider tax increases. Not raising taxes, refusal to even consider it. This after 8 years of uncontrolled spending and deficit growth

  Now I know the link talks about villains, but we have to get past that. There is no time for blame. How about a solution.
  The solution can’t be just keep stripping “entitlement” programs.
  Social security and Medicare are not entitlements. This is America , we help the sick and the less fortunate. People paid into social security. They are entitled to a return on their money.

  Perhaps Farm Subsidies and corporate tax breaks are entitlements. The hilarious thing is when those who “hate” Obama and the democrats get older or get sick I doubt if many will be able to sell the corporate jet to pay their bills.
  It’s not even about racism anymore Its beyond that Sure the racism exists and there are those who will hate a black president no matter what but what happened to the others. When did we reach a point that others must agree with you 100%, without question or else they are totally wrong and you just walk out of talks.
  Is everyone that scared of the Tea Party? You guys can’t stand up to the Koch brothers and Michelle Bachman? Really?
  This is America, the government has worked together in the past. Reagan worked with a democratic congress; Clinton worked with a republican congress. Its happened.
  Its all fear, when did we become so scared. Your great great grandchildren are gonna be born in debt. No they’re not. We weren’t born paying for the Great Depression or World War 2 or the civil war for that matter, although we are going back to civil war thinking.
  They economy will recover when someone in government mans up and says hey, we need more money We’re going to raise taxes past 1950’s levels and corporations that do business here are going to pay taxes here. Suck it up and get over it
  Now here’s where the democrats come in. The party of surrender. Talk about failed leadership For 2 years you had the house, senate and presidency. You could have rammed through your agenda. Could have done anything, instead you fought amongst yourselves. Some were scared republicans would be mad at them. Many just couldn’t imagine working with a black president and too many are just incompetent and out of touch. You promised change and continued politics as usual. Passed a watered down healthcare bill that will be decimated by the time it’s supposed to go into effect. Under funded the economic bailout and handed the money to the same criminals that created the problem. Do you have any idea how high your approval rating would be if Goldman Sachs execs were in jail rather than in treasury dept?
  You did change some credit rules that helped people but YOU DIDN’T TELL THEM. They will not vote for you if they don’t know what you’ve done. GM stock is up, tell someone. Chrysler bailout worked, tell someone.
  BE bold dammit. What do you have to lose?
  Go to a defense company like Lockheed and say, hey we don’t need new planes but we do need a high-speed rail system. Watch their genius engineers design and build it. That’s what they do. These guys built a plane that flew at Mach 3+ in the 70’s, they built lunar rockets, you think they can’t knock out a train?
  You should have raised corporate taxes and raised taxes on the rich. Sure they wouldn’t vote for you but theyre not going to vote for you anyway, idiots.
  You should have kept your promise to young people.The outsiders. You told them things would be different. They could have kept you in power a long time. Guess you wouldn’t want that would you. Better to appease the same angry old white men who’ve run things forever.
  Democrats, just beautiful empty rhetoric and surrender.
  How much time do you think Dick Cheyney would have spent proving he’s American?

  Solutions. Well, if compromise is out of the question, let’s piss some people off
  First , we need term limits. No one should be in congress or the senate 20, 30 or 40 years. They have no clue how people live, they are totally out of touch. 12 years maximum and you’re out. No pension either, you’re out and you have to find a real job like a real person. No lifetime health care, no big pension. You are now an unemployed American. Suddenly health care and unemployment aren’t “entitlements anymore are they?
  I know everyone hates bigger government but we need one more department The Dept of Whip a congressman’s ass. If you bring up something ridiculous like gays or light bulbs

  Anyone who brings up the founding fathers must accept treatment from that time period. Ms Bachman, I don’t know if you realize but in the time of the founding fathers women sewed and churned butter. Mr. Cain, black people were slaves. The constitution is a living document Its not written in stone or else women wouldn’t be voting and blacks would be in chains. I know the idea of blacks in chains still appeals to many but its wrong. If you’re a mormon Mr Beck, you didn’t exist so we can kill you.
  Finally the press, no more news for profit. That’s right, take the entertainment profit out of news. Lets get back to the truth. No more pretty people reading or angry guys yelling. Just the facts and yes, it should be regulated by the government. It used to be and it worked. The Fairness Doctrine used to mean equal time for both sides, not its fair to be one sided and make money off it.
  Do you realize in today’s environment there would be no Watergate. The government would have shut down access or classified everything and it would have went away.

  Today Barack Obama spoke about Israel and Palestine and said perhaps Isreal should return to the 1967 borders.
  Of course the Right was outraged and I’m fine with that. That’s their job. If Barack says it they fight it and if the Right says it the Left surrenders, that’s normal.
  My problem is who the media quotes. They quoted a tweet a tweet from Sarah Palin. Why is the media still listening to anything she says. This is a woman who’s foreign policy expertise is based on the fact she could see Russia from her front door and left the country, once.
  I can understand quoting Romney and perhaps Newt Gingrich but Palin? Why?
  There’s just no news coverage anymore. This week the Supreme court made a landmark decision. They actually said the police can break in and search your house if they walk by and HEAR something suspicious.
  How is Ahhhnold’s love child more important than that?
  I’ll get back to AHHnolld in a minute but the Supreme court decision is further proof the Tea Party is just a tax saving racist and fear fueled group financed by billionaires not wanting to pay taxes
  Hello Tea Party, if you believed in the founding fathers or the constitution you would be raising hell about the 4th amendment right now. That’s the one about search and seizure. Yes there are other amendments besides the one about carrying guns. You guys should read the whole thing sometime.
  Ok Let’s get to Ahhnold. Forget about the hypocrisy, how can there be reporters following this guy all the time and none of them found out about the kid. You mean you didn’t notice a little muscular kid that talks funny?
  Seriously, how bad a reporter are you, whether you be a “real’ news reporter or a TMZ guy you didn’t notice this?
  That would be like baseball beat reporters following the amazing growth in players and home runs in the 90’s and not noticing steroids. Oh wait, they did follow players through the 90’s and not notice steroids. Ok, bad example on my part.
  When will we get some actual news. I know there are real journalists and journalism students out there.
  Perhaps when networks hire from the journalism pool rather than the failed actress, actor, or underwear model pool we might become somewhat informed as a nation.
  I won’t hold my breath, I’ll read one of those old fashioned newspapers where the ugly people write

  As I read more about the right wing hating Obama for military action in Libya and watch FOX news talk of how wrong he is, I’m reminded of George Bush’s military action in Iraq, both were for freedom. Well, Bush started with weapons then something about Bin Laden but ultimately it was about freedom, he said so. Both presidents use the military in an arab country and neither of them consults congress or use the word war yet Obama is evil and Bush will prove to be a hero in 100 year. No really, he will he said so. Check back in 100 years, you’ll see..
  They are mad at Obama for taking time off even though Bush took more vacation time than any president in history. They’re mad at Obama for picking brackets in the NCAA tournament during a war but I somehow remember Bush weighing on on steroids in baseball and Bush would know, he owned a team with one of the the star players involved in the steroid era.
  They preach family values even though they’re last vice presidential candidate has a granddaughter born out of wedlock and most of their leaders have been married 2 or 3 times right Newt? How about it Rush?
  Obama has been married to one woman a long time and has two daughters who aren’t pregnant yet and even moved his mother in law into the house..
  Obama went to Harvard, Bush went to Yale. Obama earned his way in Bush got a legacy admission. A legacy admission is sort of like affirmative action for rich white guys. They are a group who have been persecuted and suffered so they need to go to school where their dads went, studying would interfere with their drinking.
  These crazed right wingers hate Obama for everything, except for being black. I mean they are not racist. They don’t have a racist bone in their body. In fact they’d like to give more money to the NAACP but they don’t like the term “colored” for African Americans. They’re not going to support that!
  Its funny. Its funny because if a white guy from divorced parents grew up, went to Harvard had a solid family could talk sports and was elected president , he would be the embodiment of the American Dream. He’d be a hero.
  Obama has done it and they question whether or not he’s even American
  Maybe that’s why they hate him. Barack Obama is the embodiment of the American dream and he’s a black man. That was not part of the plan.

  It's sad I'll have to explain to ups driver not to leave boxes in the rain. At what level of stupid do you not realize cardboard and water don't mix. It's simple math
  Box+rain=bad
  You'd think to someone who delivers boxes for a living this would be simple, I guess not.
  Perhaps ups gives a test and on this test there's a multiple choice question that asks what you should do with a cardboard box when it rains. Now we all know multiple choice tests give 4 answers and you can usually disregard one as ridiculous and figure it out. Something like
  You have a box to deliver and it's raining, should you
  A- call for help on this management decision
  B- leave the customer a note to come pick up the box
  C- not go to work on rainy days
  D- keep driving
  person writing the test figures there's no way anyone is stupid enough to leave a box in the rain so he doesn't put it down as a choice. Surprise surprise. Aim lower ups tester, you're up against basic stupidity. Basic stupidity is a powerful force with few limits. It's a place where one has to be told leaving things in the rain is bad and fire is hot.
  Some new choices
  You have a box to deliver and it's raining, should you
  A- leave the box in the rain so water will destroy the box and it's contents
  B- leave the customer a note to pick up the box
  C- set fire to the box
  D- keep drinking
